AUTO & GENERAL - PREMUMS

Last year my premium was R900 odd per month. Due to the April floods a few trees fell down & had to be removed and I submitted a claim - the first in 6 or 7 years. And what drama I had to go through to get compensated. Anyone would have thought I had ****** the bank The result was that my premium was increased to R1300 odd immediately. This was a 45% increase. In May 2023 my premium was again increased to R 1750 odd - a 35% increase. Thus within 12 months my premium doubled from R 900 to R1750 and excesses were increased. These increases are excessive, in my opinion, and so I cancelled my policy. I had expected better from Auto & General and was very disappointed with their attitude C Forbes
