Auto & General poor advice and misleading information.

I took out an Auto Drive Train Warranty with Auto & General. Initially I was going to activate the policy on 2 March 2026. I was then asked by the dealership to make the policy active immediately. I told them to debit my account for the February 2026 amount which they did and the policy start date was 19 Februaryn 2026. I knew about the 90 day waiting period, but I do don't expect to clain within 90 days of receiving the vehicle. The finance house however wanted the policy to be active immediately. I went onto the website I on the website it states that the vehicle can be taken to an approved service center for a 110 point check. No mention of any specific templare or form that needs to be completed. The vehicle went into an RMI service center for the check. Initially a normal service check was completed for which issues on the front discs were identifed and corrected. Then Auto & General would not make the policy active immediately because it was a service check and not a mechanical check. The vehicle was then taken to another service center who completed the 110 point inspection. That report was then emailed to me and forwarded to Auto & General, who again declined to make the policy active immediately because it was not on the correct form. I was not told that a specific form or template needs to be used. An item on their form is: 29 Set Clock (Radio & Dash) for which I have no idea needs to be checked for an extended motor warranty. I then clicked on a link for a Facebook ad and Budget Insurance for the same policy. I was told that if I would like the policy to be active immediately to take if for 110 point check, when I enquired about a specific form or service center I was told it needs to be RMI approved and there was no standard form. PS the form I was emailed looks like a generic form and does not have the Auto & General logo or any specific branding or any corporate identification. Both the service report and 110 point check list had to be paid for by myself, the whole process has delayed the final sale of the vehicle for a substantial period.
