Auto & General Its Bad Experience

I have never believed people when they said that insurance companies are always looking for reason(s) NOT to pay or cover the claims. I took the insurance so that I can have a peace of mind in case of unexpected events. Auto and General says: NO YOU WILL NOT HAVE A PEACE OF MIND. On June 3, 2023, while traveling on the N2 towards Cape Town, my vehicle suddenly lost control and veered off the road, ultimately colliding with a wall. The adverse weather conditions (raining) at the time were a significant contributing factor to the incident. However, to my dismay, Auto and General denied my claim, citing that I failed to exercise reasonable caution to prevent the accident. I believe their denial of the claim based on the grounds of my alleged failure to exercise reasonable caution and take preventative measures is unjustifiable and lacks proper consideration of the circumstances. It is frustrating to face such a response from my insurance company when it is evident that several factors including wet road conditions at that time contributed to the accident. I find their reasoning arbitrary and unfounded, I believe they just do not want to cover the claim. I take the safety of myself and my vehicle very seriously. I was driving at a reasonable speed, adhering to all traffic regulations. The accident occurred despite my best efforts to prevent it. I am deeply disappointed by Auto and General's refusal to honour their obligation to provide coverage in this unfortunate and unexpected situation.
