Auto and General bad service

Last month I claimed for the repairs of my car after an accident I had . The car then went for evaluation to determine the damage and insures agreed to pay No costs were allocated for me to pay but now that the panel beaters have fixed some of the damage The insurance company now refuses to pay for all the repairs as the car is not restored to its full state before the accident. To my understanding after the discussion when the car was evaluated the car would be and when a car is fixed it should brought back to the owner in full working condition Auto & General never followed up on the repair process or got back to me with any costs I have incurred but now apparently I have to pay in order for my car to be fixed entirely.It's very frustrating to deal with such inconvenience when you pay your insurance premium religiously only to receive such bad service when insurance has to help you. I pay the insurance directly I do not understand why my case has to communicated to me by the panel beaters and not the insurance company. On speaking to the panel beaters, since my car was damaged on the front left hand side front wheel. Both sides where to be repaired as u just don't fix one side.
