Annelie's BMW

I have a motorbike that is insured with Auto and General. Up to date everything. In December 2018 we went to town. We are staying about 6 km out of town. We stopped at a friends house to check if all is in order due to the fact that they were on leave. As I waited for my son to returned, the next moment smoke and flames came out from underneath the petrol tank. I switched the bike off and jumped off. We searched for buckets to extinguish the fire. After the fire was extinguished I phone my father to come and assist us. We took the bike to our home on a trailer and I immediately phoned the insurer. The came and fetch the bike in December. The accessor phone me now and let me know that Auto and General will pay out due to the fact that according to the Fire Expert, the fire started underneath the petrol tank due to wear and tear on the petrol pipe. BMW gave a starting quote of R74900.00 of damages. According to the person at BMW they have never seen something like this before.
