AUDI LIFESPAN 98 000km OR 7 years ACCORDING TO AUIDI UMHLANGA DEALER PRINCIPLE

WARNING!!!..do not buy an Audi ifyou expect reliability and without a maintenance plan you better have deep pockets.

My Audi A3 1,8 TFSI SE Tronicwith a full service history at Audi and that’s currently still covered by theAudi Freeway full maintenance plan is giving me endless problems. I’ve brokendown as a woman alone 3 times and Audi Umhlanga just can't seem to fix my car andsort the problem out.

Every single time it’s the exact same symptoms, yet the dealership tells me that it’s a different fault/problem every time. The end result after my car has been in for days on end, is only to break down again and repeat the same. To add insult to injury there is never a courtesy vehicle available, and when there is I have to pay R5000 deposit.

The symptoms are uncontrollable jerking and shuddering at times with complete power loss, lots ofsmoke and then complete break down with EPC and engine lights going on.

The last timemy car broke down was not even 2 weeks and 172km after a major repair…….and just over a month before the repair it was in for a service. Received my car back from the dealership after a week only to find out that the issue is still not resolved and there’s a dent in my driver’s side door.

My car has been repaired numerous times, which is a huge inconvenience for me and Audi Umhlanga just can’t seem to fix the problem. I have contacted Audi SA and informed them about the situation from the time of the previous repair, but they seem to be of no assistance and just agreeing with whatever the dealership feeds them.

I am disgusted by the brand and how they are handling my situation. I feel beyond frustrated because I am the one suffering while paying a lot of money to drive their brand and cant even have the assurance that my car will take me from point A to point B without breaking down. I also feel that other than the bad service I'm getting from the dealership, I fear that if it was not for my maintenance plan I would be further out of pocket and still have a non functioning car as each time they say it's something different.

The last straw was the dealer principle saying “Please also bear in mind that your vehicle is 7 years old now and there will be other maintenance issues that arise as the vehicle ages. Should you choose to keep the vehicle and not extend the maintenance plan, please bear in mind that all repairs after the expiry of the maintenance plan will be for your account.’’….sounds like a threat or is it also a warning. TIME TO GET OUT!
