No care for customer - or staff!
Car went in for a standard service. My technician was friendly and helpful. I always do car inspection as I've had a bad experience with Audi Fourways (now Bryanston) before on it's very first service. We still remarked on what great shape I keep my car in and took necessary pics. On collection of car, I find that in wash-bay the guys have broken my one hatch-back clip of the bracket off. It doesn't sit as well as it should and part of the cover is missing. My technician runs around to try sort this out. Pieter, the Service Manager, sees me standing there for 45mins and doesn't approach me once, doesn't try to assist - nothing. The technician then relays that he must pay for the part out of his own salary. I am so disgusted with this Audi - I am fuming! Audi breaks the part but the poor techie must pay for what happens in wash-bay?! I think this may be a means to guilt the customer into a) paying for the part themselves b) not ordering the part at all so that Audi don't have to go to the effort and actually forecast and order parts. I've been asked the question before if I would recommend Audi to others. The answer is no. It is a good car but the service hassles, attitude of the dealerships and staff leave a whole lot to be desired. Better off dropping the money on another brand.
