Audi Centre Rivonia Spare wheel Theft During Service

On the 23rd February 2024 I booked in my vehicle at your dealership for an oil change service wherein my consultant for the day was a gentleman called Thabani. I was not expecting to be writing such a review against a reputable dealership as big as Audi especially knowing how good of a service I have received in the past from them being that it is closer to my place of residence and work.

During the drop off inspection Thabani was late and another consultant assisted me wherein we checked the vehicle and as part of that we checked the cars condition etc as well as the vehicle spare wheel n the associated spares of which everything was fine however, to my surprise today I opened my boot looking for something and that's when I found out that my spare wheel was swapped with a damaged replica(pictures attached below). By that time I only used my spare wheel twice since I got my vehicle and it was still in excellent condition.

I immediately contacted Audi Rivonia and asked to speak to my service consultant wherein I notified them of the situation at hand however to date however, they are telling me that what I am saying is not possible. I further requested a copy of the vehicle handover report as proof and this was not provided to me to date

Furthermore I visited the dealership and spoke to the service manager who further acknowledged that if would have been mentioned if indeed it was damaged when dropping off the vehicle of which was confirmed it was not damaged upon drop off. Also they are expecting me to pay for a new tyre as they do not wanna take responsibility for their mess up. They are under the impression that I am trying to de***** the dealership and I just want my tyre to be brought back or replaced. I do have tyre insurance for my vehicle but will not be submitting a claim for a mistake that isn't mine.

What I dont understand right now is that how does this happen and is my car ever safe in their hands? I hereby demand that Audi South Africa intervenes because this is unacceptable. Unfortunately I will not let the matter rest up until my tyre has been replaced.

Also I am requesting that the dealership checks the drop off photo reports and thereafter take necessary precautions to discipline whoever is responsible for this as well as replace my spare wheel immediately as it is very risky to drive around with the vehicle.

I am also now very worried about the safety of my vehicle in the hands of the dealership at this rate and cannot trust them to service my car going forward. I unfortunately can't let this matter go. Are they even aware that most of the time I have booked in my vehicle for service their technicians have even tried calling me in unknown blocked calls trying to do work for me on the side? What is to say that the same happened now with the spare tyre in my vehicle?
