Unfair decision by acting manager

I am writing to formally lodge a serious complaint against Audi Centre Braamfontein regarding the minor service of my vehicle, an Audi A6, and the appalling treatment I have received from your staff. The sequence of events is as follows: 1. Undetected Issues Prior to Service: I brought my vehicle in for a minor service. Prior to the service, an inspection was conducted, and a diagnostic/inspection code was generated. No overheating issues or pipe leaks were detected at that time. My car was in perfectly good working order when I brought it in. 2. Incorrect Billing & Serious POPIA Breach: I was originally quoted/charged R4,500 for the service. When my child went to pick up the car, the bill presented was R3,300. However, upon reviewing the paperwork, I discovered that I was handed another customer's private invoice. This is a severe violation of the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPI Act). Furthermore, the next morning, your branch called me demanding an additional R1,000, claiming I had been 'undercharged'. 3. Immediate Overheating Upon Collection: My son picked up the car from the dealership. It took him exactly 11 minutes to drive straight home. The moment he arrived, my husband noticed it was overheating, evidenced by the warning sign on the motor monitor. Upon checking, he discovered that the water bottle coolant reservoir was completely empty. 4. Appalling Customer Service & Disrespectful Metaphors: When I raised the sudden overheating issue with the service advisor, he dismissively told me that 'you can go to hospital for a tummy ache and the next day you can have a headache.' This dismissive, rude analogy is completely unacceptable and demonstrates a total lack of professional customer service. 5. Acting Manager's Refusal to Take Responsibility: I went to the dealership in person to resolve this and spoke with the Acting Manager, Wiseman. He showed me a coolant pipe with a hole in it, claiming it 'suddenly appeared' and had nothing to do with the workshop. He then demanded that I pay an additional R8,000 to fix a defect that only manifested after your mechanics worked on my vehicle. My Position I refuse to accept that a vehicle inspected with no defects suddenly develops a ruptured coolant pipe within an 11-minute drive home from a routine service. Either the pipe was damaged during the service, or your technicians failed to notice a critical issue during their initial inspection. Additionally, treating customers with disrespect and violating statutory privacy laws (POPIA) cannot be ignored. Required Resolution • A full, independent review of the diagnostic codes generated before and after the service. • That Audi Centre Braamfontein repairs the damaged pipe at zero cost to me, as this issue occurred while the vehicle was in your care. • A formal written apology regarding the POPIA breach and the disrespectful conduct of your staff. • Absolute clarity on my actual invoice and billing framework.
