Audi Centre Bramfontein - SUCKS!
Audi Bramfontein 2019 staff are unprofessional and need training in general etiquette and service toward customers. I am not happy with treatment received from the new 2019 staff. Firstly: my service advisor assumed the role of technician, which meant everything pertaining to my car will be handled by himself. I told him my car is losing power while driving and is emitting heavy smoke. My car was misdiagnosed by the service advisor/technician. I was told injectors need to be replaced, cost amounting to R59 767.46. Money was of the essence, so I asked him if that was all and that after working on injectors my car will go back to its normal way of drive? Having assured me, that he exhausted all options and he was sure that was it and no additional fees will be enquired, I gave him a go ahead. After a week, I am told that injectors have been replaced but my car is still emitting smoke and losing power in motion. Now the turbo system needs to be replaced to fix the problem. This meant that my car was misdiagnosed, since not even one of the problems for which the car was brought in is resolved and now I must agree to add more money to replace the turbo, taking the cost up to around R88 000.00 I told the technician that I didn’t mean to renovate all parts of the car, I just wanted to fix what was broken and that I will not pay for his experiments that yielded no change at all. I asked for my old injectors to be brought back into the car and to start afresh with the cost of turbo replacement only. We reached a deadlock, when he refused to remove the cost of injectors work and I was not agreeing to pay for it. I asked that he removed his product from my asset and release my car for collection. At this point he said he will get his manager to call me, which he never did and after 5 days the technician called to advise that they have decided to release my car and I am liable to pay R2748.50 for diagnoses, which is now more than R1200, that was initially quoted. Upon collecting the car, the service advisor/technician told me to wait in the office and they will get the car ready for my tow truck. Anyway, all payments were made and I was released to go. Having arrived at home and the car being suspended at eye level in day light, I realized that my car now has a dent on the side. I showed the tow truck driver and he said to me, I should have raised the issue, while at Audi workshop. But I didn’t inspect it, since I have been servicing my car at the same workshop since 2013 and I have never had any problem with the centre; they had always carried our cars with the highest care. Furthermore, after the tow truck driver parked my car in the garage, he couldn’t help but comment on the heavy smell of diesel from the car, which engulfed the whole garage. I said to him, the car didn’t smell like that before taking it to Audi. It is clear that the technician mis-fitted the part, just before collection. What infuriates me even further is Audi centre Bramfontein calling me after rating them 1 and trying to deny that they dented my car. They asked for dent photos and my tow truck driver’s number to collaborate my story, which I naively thought maybe, they want to rectify their error and repair the damage. Later on the same evening, the technician sends me whatsapp images confirming that my car did in fact come without a dent and the collection day photo is shot far off and not in the same angle exposing the dented spot and he is insisting with that photo that the car was not dented upon collection. I told him of cause, that it’s funny that before and after photos are not shot in the same angle and what’s more, I can still spot the dip on the surface of the car, even from his distant photo. I am upset that, not only did I get a non-professional experience from Audi centre Bramfontein; They damaged my property; deny taking responsibility and are in fact calling me a ****. I am done with Audi. Never in my dreams will I buy an Audi car, if I have to deal with people such as those in Audi Bramfontein. I will sell my car and consider other brands for replacement. Audi has lost me, as a customer forever.
