Horrible treatment and unfairly handled

We sold old office furniture to Auction Pro and they sent us invoices on what the goods will cost. We were not happy with the price and made attempts to withdraw the goods and were informed that the goods had already been sold and have been picked up by the buyer. There was a big filing cabinet which could be estimated to cost R30k but was sold at R500. We did not agree on sale nor did we sign any documents. Unfair business practices.

AuctionPro does indeed accept reserves on individual items valued at R5000 or over, subject to agreement prior to auction with the auctioneer.
Our registration form, which lists the items for auction and requires signature by all sellers prior to auction, does lay out terms and conditions clearly, and signature thereof indicates acceptance.  Should there be any confusion we are happy to explain the process further, and our commission and process are as transparent as they possibly can be.
We naturally do our best to encourage higher bids, but are restricted to what the buyers are willing to spend.  If there was no reserve placed on an item by the owner on signature of the registration form, we sell the item to the highest bidder within reason.
Our fates are connected as the higher the amount which the seller receives, the more commission we receive. Prices are subject to what the market will bear and buyers will pay.  You are welcome to contact us directly should you require additional clarity.
