On Saturday 30 March 2019 I purchased numerous items at the auction in Samrand. On Monday 01/04/2019 I went to collect the items purchased.Among the items purchased was an A8 Drone 4 ch and a 2.0ch Soundbar.Upon arrival at home and unpacking the items i found that the Drones power supply cable was damaged at the power connector. The Soundbar had no power supply whatsoever attached and that the on/off switch was a bit faulty.I connected another 9v dc power adaptor to the unit and found it not to even switch on at all.I contacted Aucor Samrand and was requested to return the soundbar for a replacement. Before driving to Midrand from Pretoria east asked as to whether they had stock.I was assured they had stock and i could come and replace it.I then drove all the way only to be informed they do not have stock available and were awaiting a shipment that was supposed to have arrived already.Of cause i was furious at this point, but kept my cool and signed the Soundbar back in for replacement.Shaahied, the gentlemen i was referred to assured me that they would contact me as soon as they received the stock.Nobody ever called me and after many attempts to get a hold of Shaahied or the other person he referred me to by the name of Gift i was informed the stock did not arrive as yet.On Friday 12/04/2018 i called back in and requested to speak to the manager in charge of Aucor Samrand and was put through to a person by the name of Fanie.I relayed my experience to him, whereby he assured me that he would speak to the relevant people and get back to me.That was at 11h25 on Friday.Since then i had no further feedback in this regard.I take cognisance of the fact that when purchasing goods on auction it is as is,but only when stated on items that could be or are faulty before bidding commences. In this instance all items bid on we were informed were in perfect working order, however there was only one other item that was mentioned as being "as is" Something that i thought was a bargain purchasing it on auction has now become to be costly taken into consideration the amount of fuel, time and effort spent. ps.When taking the soundbar back to Aucor i was told that i was not the only one that reported a faulty soundbar and that more clients were returning theirs for replacement or refund. This i think is ********* practice to sell faulty/damaged ,non working items on auction especially appliances under the pretense that they are in good working order, and for people to part of hard earned money in this fashion. Aucor,do the right thing and accept responsibility for this practice.
