Aucor Port Elizabeth - Bad experience...to continue
I had two instances of dealings with Aucor Port Elizabeth and both have left a bitter taste in the mouth and a dent in my account balance. The first instance I bought some goods and arranged to collect on a specific day. On collection the said goods one item was missing. I reported this immediately and the office advised that they will be in contact once the item has been found. On a different day I mentioned this to the manager, Mr Willie Nortje, and he knew nothing about the incident! This issue is still unsolved(2 months on). The second incident I bought a car at a bank repossession auction. I inspected the car and conceded that the car had been repainted and the work done was not good. I was prepared to do the repairs. Immediately after the auction I was informed by a concerned attendee that the vehicle had some structural damage. This I was unprepared for and approached the office for clarity. I was advised to speak to Mr Willie by means of an email. This I have done. My request was for the refund of my R10 000.00 deposit. The result is that my request was refused. I feel aggrieved that I was misled with the auctioneer not stating the vehicle condition, but was quick to point out the trade price of the vehicle. I was curious to see so many seasoned buyers walking around with their cell phones torch lights on, now I know the reason as this auction room is deliberately dark. I am now in the process to get some legal advise and will enforce that Aucor Port Elizabeth is held accountable for this costs.
