Atterbury Motors Nightmare of a Dealership - Stay Away
We purchased a vehicle in November 2024 from this dealership. There website, sales pitch were all on point and the day of fetching the car, i was prompted to complete a HELLO. Peter online survey to confirm was good service they provide. This ploy is to get their ratings up so that you can been their next victim. The drama start after I completed the paperwork when we went to fetch the vehicle. The bonnet and left fender was scratched, the one rim was damaged, brakes were squeaky (which they repaired) and after a few rainy dates in December 2024, the vehicle started spinning on take-off losing it traction. Only when i took the vehicle to check the tyres and why is was losing traction, it was noted by a tyre company the the tyres replaced on the vehicle was a cheap Chinese brand tyres which is not suitable for the vehicle suspension. This I raised with Atterbury Motors and their response is that as long as it is SABS Approved, they tyre is suitable for the vehicle. So YOUR LIFE DOES NOT MATTER as long as Atterbury Motors feel that to their standard/s they have done the right this. Besides paying a premium for this vehicle which was over the current retail as i was promised a "clean" vehicle, I at a point now where i have reached out to the Ombudsman's for help Case Number is 502697. My point to you all, don't fooled like I was. If its too good to be true, ITS NOT!!! Now, I am ensuring that the vehicle is in a safe condition to drive.
