Don't buy from foreigners

I recently bought what I thought was a quality set of ear pieces at a store in Cape Town. This was 2 weeks ago, now only one side of them work and cuts out intermittently. I went back to the store tried to reason with the store owner who tells me that they don't have a return policy, inspite of giving me a slip. He says I broke the ear pieces.
