*********, ********* & RUDE PEOPLE
STAY AWAY! I ordered a lounge suite from Adrian & Cindy (ATOZFURN owners that are husband and wife) early January 2019 after going to their "showroom" in Parys (its more like a space that is part of a craft store/art gallery) - Alarm bells that they dismissed as means to cut costs and delivery quality furniture at a cheap price. I was initially hesitant as they wanted the full amount up front. Against my better judgement I proceeded with the transaction (luckily just ordered the lounge suite and not also the bed base and dining chairs I required for my place). Communication was essentially non-existent unless initiated first following payment. The Lounge suite was delivered early February but the center piece was of the wrong dimensions and the additional material that was agreed as part of the deal for me to make scatter cushions with was not delivered. They initially committed to replacing the center unit and to deliver the material. However after many excuses later and blatantly ignoring emails, phone calls and even rudely cutting calls I have an incorrectly sized lounge suite and no material as agreed many months later. I am currently in the process of getting the ombudsman to deal with the matter. PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR AND DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE ********* AND RUDE PEOPLE WHO LACK INTEGRITY!!! Don't be fooled by their website and prices, my experience shows they are extremely *********, have no respect for customers and once they have your money they don't really care about the service. I doubt they will even honour the warranty on their products.
Finally a response! Pity it had to be on this forum.
As per your email communication, the deal was finalised with a drawing and the applicable dimensions. Referring to phone calls is only going to lead us to a he said/she said scenario. Email communications confirm the dimensions as well as ATOZFURN commitment to replace the center unit to the correct dimension, in addition to provide the material as agreed as part of the initial deal and it is on the invoice.
As for the delivery note...it specifically states the material is not delivered and the center unit is not to correct dimension. The subsequent email communication has yourself and Adrian also acknowledging this.
As for the phone calls, the polite and courteous thing to do would be to inform your customer that you cannot take the call right now and call them back when possible. Adrian just blatantly cuts the call or does not answer as well as not replying to email communications.
Both of you know exactly what you have done in terms of this transaction and all I am asking is for the material as agreed and the center unit to be of the length specified as agreed. I am not questioning the quality of your furniture and do hope and trust it will last a lifetime. I actually just had friends over who complimented it. They however also noticed the problem with the center unit being too small (as I mentioned, I can't even fit a coffee table within the lounge suite).
O well...does not seem like ATOZFURN is willing to make things right by me. I recall the conversation in that art gallery. "What goes around, comes around." Time will tell I guess, perhaps you should really analyse this concept further when considering why you were "**********" before. Ultimately it is up to us to create the world we live in and the level of trust that exists within society. The ball is in your court on this one. So now, the choice is yours!
