Poor Product Quality and Disappointing After-Sales Service – Atlas Battery Centre
Title: Poor Product Quality and Disappointing After-Sales Service – Atlas Battery Centre I purchased a brand-new Atlas battery in June 2025, expecting it to provide reliable service for several years. Unfortunately, by June 2026, immediately after the 12-month warranty expired, the battery completely failed and my vehicle could no longer start. I took the battery to the Atlas Battery Centre in Edenvale for testing. I was informed that the battery was "working fine" and that I should bring my vehicle to the branch so they could test the alternator. This response was both unreasonable and impractical. My vehicle cannot start because the battery is no longer functioning. I live in Soweto, while the branch is in Edenvale. How am I expected to bring a vehicle that cannot start to your workshop? Should I incur the cost of towing my vehicle across Johannesburg simply because the battery failed? Why should I bear that expense? A battery that lasts only one year raises serious concerns about its quality and reliability. Instead of assisting me with a practical solution, I was given instructions that ignored the reality of my situation and left me stranded. I am extremely disappointed with both the product and the after-sales service I received. A company should stand behind the quality of its products and provide reasonable support when customers experience issues, especially when a battery fails immediately after the warranty period expires.

Atlas Battery is a winner!
Top class company. If you need a car or bike battery these are the people to go to. Excellent service and great prices. I only have praise for them. I have bean dealing with Atlas battery for years and had nothing but good service!
