Go Atlantic for a trip via hell

I had a ticket to go from Johannesburg to Cape Town on Sa****ay 21 May 2015. The bus was suppose to arrive in Cape Town on Sunday 22 May 2015.

About 3 hours from Johannesbirg the bus broke. We were told that another bus would come and take us to Cape Town. We were waiting in the cold right through the night till about 11:00AM on Sunday morning when eventually a bus arrived. There were people with kids but we were just left stranded right through the night out in the dark and cold.

Tired to the bone we climbed the new bus and left for Cape Town. But again about 6 o'clock the evening the bus broke down. This time we were by a truckstop. The personnel was extremely rude to us. Eventually 3 o'clock AM on Monday morning another bus arrived that took us to Cape Town.

We arrived in Cape Town after about 36 hours for a trip that normally takes less than half the time with other bus companies.

I am busy writing matric. Becuase of the poor service I could not study at all on Monday (I had to try and catch up on lost sleep. I lost about 16 hours I planned for study and am not sure whether I passed the exam I wrote.

Becase of the time spent out in the cold I have flue. I am writing another exam tomorrow and may not do as well as I had hoped becuase I struggled to study with hy runny nose, head ache and coughing sprouts. I had the same problem studying Tuesday for the first exam.

This bus trip was not only the most uncomfortable experience of my life but also made me sick and set me back in my exams - I may even have to re-write 2 subjects because of it.

I should have taken the train like I was told to do! I would have slept warm and I would have been able to study during the trip!

All I can say is that you should think again before buying a ticket from this bus company. They do not maintain their vehicles and their personnel don't treat you well.
