No water point until 9,5km's

As part of athletic South Africa I would expect that races are monitored for more than just licenses runners. How are the event coordinators held accountable for poor or lack of arrangements. A late start at 7am when it is already relatively hot this time of year, and then you are expected to run on main roads that are not shaded so you are exposed to direct sun, with absolutely no water until 9,5km's? Race fees are paid, people travel from all over gauteng and beyond to do these races and then you are faced with such shocking conditions. Furthermore the race number collection was poorly coordinated with no collection at start which means that people have to drive to the start twice (costs!!) and the. Tshirs provided but not allocated according to entry. We had to collect and chose a size. For someone like me who collected all entries for my club members, I had to then guess their sizes. That's not fair on me or them especially if I got the size wrong. <br> <br> I demand that the entry fees be refunded for the really shocking conditions and circumstances that surrounded this race<br> <br> I am a very angry runner who has lost faith in South African road running!
