Inhumane Treatment of Petrol Attendants at Brackenhurst Astron Energy

I’m writing this as a deeply concerned and disappointed member of the public.

The Astron Energy garage in Brackenhurst near Albertsdal is treating its petrol attendants in an unacceptable and inhumane way. This winter has been brutally cold temperatures are regularly dipping below zero and yet I’ve witnessed petrol attendants forced to sit or stand outside in freezing conditions, even when there are no customers to assist.

Why are these hardworking people not allowed to warm up in a back room or office with a heater when the forecourt is empty? They are human beings not machines and they’re helping keep this business running and profitable. The fact that they are being left out in the cold while trying to earn a living is deeply disturbing.

I understand the need for good service and visibility, but this goes far beyond that it’s neglectful, harsh, and absolutely unacceptable. Astron Energy should be ashamed that this is happening under its name.

Please do better. These workers deserve respect, warmth, and dignity.
