Damage to Vehicle Caused at Astron Garage – Stellenbosch

I am writing to formally report an incident that occurred at the Astron Garage in Stellenbosch, near Du Toit Station, on 3 January at approximately 13:20.

I was being assisted by an attendant named Sivu, who processed my payment and informed me that I was free to leave. Unfortunately, he forgot to remove the petrol pump from my vehicle, which resulted in the pump hitting my car as I drove off. This caused damage to my vehicle, including a bent petrol cap and a visible dent.

I immediately requested to speak to the manager on duty. The attendant indicated that he was calling the manager but then stated that he did not want to wake him up. I left my contact details at the garage as requested; however, I have not yet been contacted regarding this matter.

I am very concerned about the lack of follow-up and would appreciate urgent assistance. I would like to know how Astron Garage intends to address the damage caused to my vehicle.
