Astron Oakdale theft

On a recent visit to Astron Oakdale we topped up with R200 fuel and paid via debit card, their card machine malfunction but the money was deducted from our account.

We showed the proof to the attendant but he insisted that we pay again.

We asked for the manager and he just said “that’s not my problem” though it was his machine that malfunctioned, he agreed to check his account the following day and will reverse the charge but we had to pay again.

The following day we followed up with our bank , who confirmed that the money was transferred to Astron, 2 weeks later we are still struggling to get the funds reversed with an arrogant and rude manager / owner who refuses to budge.

I’m heading off to the police station to lay a charge and will summons them to the small claims court.
