Astron Energy

On 28 January 2025 at 17:54 I visited an Astron Energy service station in Kenilworth (Doncaster Motors) to fill up with some fuel. The petrol attendant who assisted me filled up my vehicle but DID NOT INSERT my fuel cap. It was left on the holder with the fuel door OPEN. I was flagged down by a Law Enforcement officer, who pointed out that my fuel door is open with the fuel cap hanging on it (I took his details as a witness to what I am saying).

It is unacceptable and DANGEROUS what occurred at your service station. The impact of the petrol attendant’s actions can lead to my vehicle having performance issues and even worse, an exposed fuel tank is highly flammable and could have LOST MY LIFE.

The manager or owner of Doncaster Motors (Astron Energy, Kenilworth) called me this morning (03 February 2025) to inform me, I was correct and that they will give the attend a warning and that these things happen as if it is not a serious offence. I am seriously disappointed with the outcome.
