Frequent Unexplained power cuts in sparrow gate
<p>I would here by like to raise a concern regarding the above matter. We have been experiencing this for the past few months, and nobody has bothered to explain what the problem is.</p> <p>The following are our challenges experienced</p> <p>1. An inconvenience and frustrating.<br />2. Our food become spoiled.<br />3. Our electrical appliances are at risk of being damaged.<br />4 Our overall security is compromised as the crime cannot be easily controlled.<br />5. The Security personnel's lives are also in danger as the ********* could be aware of this problem and take advantage of the matter.<br />6. We are at a risk of losing tenants as they also cannot stand this inconvenience.<br />7. The care taker is frequently being attacked unnecessarily since the residents are not aware of what is happening.</p> <p>Proposal</p> <p>1. Send a communication to the residents on what exactly is the problem, how and when it is going to be resolved.<br />2. Immediately provide the residents with a standby (reliable) generator while we are still waiting for the problem to be sorted out (As we speak there is no electricity in the complex & we need a generator)</p> <p>We are paying a lot of levies to ensure that the property is maintained, safe and harmonious to stay in.</p>

We refer to your complaint and confirm that in terms of the various communications to all section owners within Sparrow Gate Body Corporate, the fault is with City Power in terms of the Substation and cable to the substation situated in Kibler Park.
We note that when it was developed the power supply were installed from Kibler Park and not from Mondeor or Meredale, of which every time Kibler park has a power failure, it affects the body corporate, yet no other owners of residential properties or body corporates are effected as they are supp**** from Mondeor/Meredale substations.
The trustees has been investigating various options in respect of this matter, of which such would be discussed with all owners at the AGM due to the costs involved herein.
We note that all registered owners are duly informed as and when outages occur including REF numbers with City Power.
