Poor Service and Astronomical Admin Fee

We were forced to use Aston Financial Services when we app**** for vehicle finance through Standard Bank for a private purchase. The service was poor, consultants actually quite rude and unhelpful but the worst complaint is that the fee they charge is far higher than other dealerships we approached for help were going to charge. Unfortunately for some unknown reason Standard Bank insist on using them - which is most frustrating. So a big black mark there for Standard Bank too. We were also made to pay for a vehicle inspection by a company called Dekra (despite the seller having taken the vehicle through COR). The inspection was pathetic and not thorough at all - and again very poor, rude service. This was over and above the fee that Aston charged. The other dealerships we had approached included the inspection fee in their fee. If we had not really wanted to purchase this particular vehicle and had not already had online approval from Standard Bank we would have told Aston to stick it! We do not recommend them at all. Incidentally, our son purchased a vehicle through them last year and until today is still waiting for the service record for the vehicle that he was promised.
