Bad review of Asrin.co.za property developers CapeTown

Asrin developed Azure complex in Bloubergstrand. At the handover I and other buyers realised that the build quality was not what we expected, and there was complaints. At the same time I bought another development in Gauteng and I am comparing them directly. Overall the Asrin complex appeared OK and I could live with most of the poor quality work like tiling without skirtings, poor plumbing, poor wiring, solar heaters that never really worked, ODD designs like false panels in the bathrooms and kitchen, staircases that is too low and you can bump your head and more, LIFTS that seems imported directly from an underground factory in china that didn’t work for many many months... All and all I could still live with all these things, although I will insist that the finishing were not up to scratch and lacking. BUT ultimately I am giving them a very bad rating because my unit since day one had water damp on the walls that made the kitchen cupboards rot and paint peel in two places in the bedroom. They haphazardly fixed it but I was very sceptical of the fix. It seemed to me like poor build quality rather than anything else. In the course of the next 18 months my unit had deteriorated so much that I no longer could put tenants in and I emailed the entire company with pictures etc...at some point they "sent" someone to evaluate and I never heard anything back from anyone after that. No report no feedback no commitment no nothing. Some more struggles to get them to answer me with my problem and eventually I just gave up after being ignored. I ended stressing immensely about the ongoing deterioration of the unit and ended up dropping the selling price from 2m to 1.6m just to get it sold. I would argue that they never waterproofed the outside walls that is below ground level and water just flowed in merrily, gradually destroying my unit. Whatever they did seemed like amateur building to me. Furthermore they used hollow bricks to build the entire complex which is just an awful idea, beside the water issues that causes one cannot even properly fit a safe to the wall as the bricks are hollow. . Based on my experience, Id rather pay more and buy piece of mind and I’ll never buy any development buy ASRIN again. I consider it a high risk investment.

I find the following hollow words on their website Asrin.co.za Words are easy to through around but the proof is in what owners have to say 2 years down the line, and what i have to say is not how they advertise themselves.
