Cyclimycin stock shortages since August
Ive been using Cyclimycin for many years for my acne. To my dismay ive been informed that the drug is not available anywhere in the country. How is it possible that such a huge company cannot manage stocks at acceptable levels? How do you run a business like this? what do i use in the meantime while you figure out how to manage stocks? There is no generic substitute available either. Furthermore your useless uninformed reps cannot even give an indication when the drug will be available, so I sit and wait...My script is with Plattekloof Pharmacy. PLEASE INDICATE CLEARLY WHERE I CAN ORDER THE MEDICATION FROM? iTS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE THAT CUSTOMERS MUST RUN AROUND FOR MUCH NEEDED MEDICATION.

Hi Karen,
Aspen can only but apologise for this situation regarding the out of stock situation of Cyclimycin 50mg and 100mg strengths. This situation arose as a result of problems with obtaining the active ingredient , Minocycline , from our usual supplier.
Good news is we have released stock of the 50mg 60's at the end of October 2015. It takes about two weeks for this stock to be delivered and booked in by the relevant Pharmaceutical wholesalers who in turn would supply Plattekloof Pharmacy in the Western Cape area. So by the week starting 16 November your pharmacy should be able to order in stock to honour your script.
If they are still having an issue then please feel free to pass on my contact details so I can assist them on your behalf.
