SHOCKING QUALITY! NEVER BUY ASICS!

On the 26th July 2020, I purchased my most expensive pair of ASICS to date from your store in Mall of Africa, Johannesburg. I paid R 2500 for the Black/Rose GT-2000. I started running in November 2020. I am currently never running more than 30 minutes at any given time and never further than 5km's. By March 2021, the mesh on the top of my right shoe had started to tear. I took the shoe back to Mall of Africa on the 30th March 2021. It was explained to me that ASICS had decided to use 'thinner mesh' to make the shoe lighter and that some of your clients were finding that the style of their running, resulted in their toe nails rubbing through the mesh! I don't understand how this can be as none of my socks have holes in them! I was told that a technician who specialised in studying any faults in the shoes would need to inspect the shoe to see if it was due to a fault of the shoe or due to my fault. I again don't understand this when it was just explained to me that ASICS was using thinner mesh to make their shoes lighter - HENCE NOT MY FAULT. I left my contact details with the manager on duty - to date I have heard nothing from her!

To say I am BITTERLY disappointed would be an understatement. I have never spent this amount of money on a pair of running shoes before and I cannot believe that the mesh has torn so quickly and with me not even running long distances for any more than 30 minutes at a time.
