Poor Sales Advice by Total Sport Canal Walk

I attended an Asics evening at Total Sport 15 April, great Talk held by an Asics ambassador. Asics Cumulus is my shoe which I have run with for many years and have NEVER had any injuries. I ran my last Two Oceans Ultra on 20 April with my Cumulus 20, great run no injuries. At this event I wanted the Cumulus 21, I spoke to the Sales Rep who advised that the 21 was not out yet, however the Megaride is also a Neutral shoe like the Cumulus and there is a great discount on the shoe. It is the top of the range shoe she said. Actual cost R3,499, and I could get a 40% discount, R2,099. I then bought this Megaride with her advice. The shoe was hard and thought I just had to run it in. On 4 May I did a 54km run with the Megaride and got my first injury. I went to a physio for cessions and showed her the shoe, she said it is the shoe and should go back to the Cumulus as the Megaride shoe is a total different profile than the Cumulus i am used to. I phoned Total Sport 27 May, Mari at the shop kept me one of their last Asics 20's. I collected the shoe and Waseemah assisted, I paid R1899.95 for the Asics Cumulus 20, she said I can bring the Megaride back and they will refund me. 2 Days later I came in with the Megaride and I was told that I cannot get a refund although Waseemah told me I can. I ran Comrades in my Cumulus 20 but due to this Prior Injury with the Megaride i was struggling and got cut off at 68km, I was devistated, cost of Comrades, dissapointment, Financial Cost of 2 Shoes R2,099 and R1,899 due to Incorrect advice by the Sales Rep at Total Sport Canal Walk. I went to a Chiro after Comrades with my injury which I just agrivated, showed him the Megaride vs Cumulus, he told me it is the shoe and said i should never run with it. I contacted the Lisa, Manager of Total Sport Canal Walk on 29 June, told her about my issue, she told me that she would take this matter up with Area Manager and revert back. It is nearly a month later and Lisa nor her Area Manager has made contact. POOR POOR Service by Lisa and her staff. I want a refund of R2,099.97 for the Megaride. You can take this Megaride shoe back as it is a POOR shoe and should not be sold. I have had huge Physio and Chiro cost due to this injury from poor Sales Advice.
