No Customer Service

Must have visited 12 of the stores that Asics recommends looking for Asics Gel Odyssey walking shoes and failed to find a single pair. I called the Asics customer service number only to receive a recorded message saying that they are too busy dealing with customers to answer the phone, but please send an email instead. I sent an email to customer service asking for details of a store that stocked said walking shoe, since clearly this is not a widely stocked shoe. I got an immediate and automated reply to say something to the effect that they are very busy and I shouldn't expect a reply soon. When I did get a reply three days later, it was to say that they did not know which store stocked these shoes and, therefore, couldn't direct me to a store. Seriously, customer service of a company doesn't know or cannot find out where said company ships shoes to, particularly shoes that are not sold in all their partner stores?
