Disappointed in a world wide brand
I have been running almost all my life, and I am a firm believer of the Asics brand. I’ve never ran with another brand, therefore my hand is in my hair, and I am extremely frustrated.
In January 2016 I bought myself the Nimbus 17, and it was just perfect. I even ran the comrades with that same pair in June 2016 with no issues.
After completing the comrades in 2016, I decided to buy a new pair of running shoes, seeing that the Nimbus 17 after completing a comrades and beforehand training of approximately 1200km, had it’s fair share.
I bought myself the Nimbus 19 in February of this year.
However, I seem to have issues with this pair. I am getting blisters, some of the blisters even with blood in them. Blisters on top of blisters!! And by the way, the nimbus 19 only has approximately 320km on them…
Thereafter I was forced to run the 2017 Comrades with my old pair – Nimbus 17, seeing that I do not have the money to buy a new pair every 4 months, especially since I bought the Nimbus 19 for close to R3,000, also due to the limited time before the comrades... What an embarrassment to run with those shoes, which by now had small holes on top front where my toes usually sit.
I really thought the nimbus 19 would be a better shoe. I thought to myself, okay, let’s only use this pair – Nimbus 19 - on my 10km fun runs or a 21.1km.
Little did I know, that even on the 10km and 21.1km runs I would also encounter the exact same issues!!
I do not want to change my brand, seeing that this is all I know. But I cant waste my money for a second time??
Somehow I cannot locate an email address for Asics SA, and after contacting the Head office in Cape Town, a lady gave me an email address of somebody that would be able to assist me with my unresolved issue, but to this date I have not been helped, as to what the way forward is ?!
Seems like the after sales assistance / customer care service is non-existant ! Who can assist me, please ?!
