Asics trail shoes are poor quality

I bought a pair of trail shoes from the Sweat Shop in Dunkeld. After running two long trail runs in them, I noticed that the toe caps were peeling away from the front of both shoes. I had the shoes washed in cold water and returned them to the Sweat Shop for repair/replacement. After about a month of following up, I was eventually informed that Asics rejected my complaint because the shoes had been washed. Apparently washing the shoes voids any responsibility they have for product quality! I have never had a pair of trail shoes deteriorate so quickly like this and have run extensively in Salomon and New Balance trail shoes which were excellent. I will strongly recommend to anyone I know to avoid buying Asics trail shoes.
