Asics Trail Scout 2 customer service terrible

Having bought a pair of Asics Trail Scout 2. After about 3 months and being worn only a dozen times, the toe guard starting peeling and a hole penetrating through material where big toe is. I contacted Asics and sent them pictures. Their first response was, sorry contact your supplier that you bought them from. I rep**** that it was from Amazon who never ever respond if you can even find a way to lodge a complaint. I said that it was manufactured by them and thus a fault on their behalf not the supplier. They just rep**** a second time with a generic response. Sorry, you will need to get hold of Amazon. I gave them ample chance to engage and get this sorted. They could not be bothered at all. That is shocking customer service from a company that we all thought was respected and a good product. True colours!!!
