7 mths wear for pr of running shoes costing R2500?

I purchased a pair of Asics Kensei 5 running shoes (R2500) in January this year at the Cross Trainer Sandton branch and the spider material by the toe is starting to tear.<br> <br> I phoned the Sandton City branch where I bought it and a gentleman by the name of Lawrence Mbatha said that there was nothing they could do about it.<br> <br> As I have been injured at the time of purchase I only started running in the shoes around April. Surely for the value of the running shoe I am reasonable in expecting a longer lifespan than only a couple of months?<br> <br> After speaking to JP Nhlapo, I was asked by the Xtrainer Sandton to bring the shoes in for inspection which I did. Two weeks later Lawrence called me to say the shoes were sent to Asics who said that I was responsible for the tear. Really? I own a pair of Asics Kensei 4 which I have had for 2 years now and that pair is fine yet the R2500 pair of Asics Kensei 5 only gave me 7 months of wear? That cant be right.
