Appauling Treatment of Animals

We have had so many bad experiences at Ashburne Vet, from placing medium dogs into small kennels that they can hardly fit into and makes them uncomfortable and put them into further pain, to not caring if the animals are not even eating or not whilst being treated in hospital, to the most recent being refusing to treat a cat after hours, that is clearly in pain and agony, until a deposit of R7000 was paid upfront. The same Cat was taken in 3 months back and then they only required R1500 deposit which was reasonable. When our cat was taken to another Vet in the area they were all too conerned for the well being of the cat rather than needing to ensure they received any monies first which is the level of care and compassion you should receive when your fur baby is not well.

We have never not paid for treatments done as we love your animals dearly and just want them to get better but lately this Vet seems to only care about money, money, money!! ***** actually wanting to care for the animals that come in as its their job and the reason they should be in that profession.

The staff are consistently RUDE, whether it be over the phone or in person and it seems like it is asking a great deal to just do their jobs and make their patients and families feel like they should be grateful to even warrant their time.

I have never been made to feel so sick to my stomach and the lack of compassion this Veterinary hospital has towards the animals that come through their doors. The South African Veterinary Council will be contacted and a formal complaint made against them for their pathetic and sickening practices.
