Beware Artisjet

We use an artisjet DTG printer and have had endless problems. Printheads that are supposed to last several thousand prints each lasted about 200 prints We have now used 3 printheads. The printheads are imported and cost over R12 000.00 each In dealing with Artisjet all they do is lay the blame at our feet. They have previously been fine with the DTG ink we use but now when questioning their products they have all kinds of excuses - it's the ink we use, its the dampers, its everything but the products they supply hich allow the printer to run. I had a real direct conversation about this on Skype this morning - here is their response

"we don't provide any after sales service if customer don't use our own ink. by the way, the after sales service is one year after receive printer. The service fee is USD 300/YEAR"

So basically they are saying "Nope we are not helping you if you don't pay"

They have no problem though taking our money for parts and then excusing themselves from the situation when they supply incorrect or damaged parts.

The printer issues have been going on for nearly 2 years - printheads x3, capping station x 1, encoder strip x1, cables x2, mainboard x1, set of dampers x 2.

The printer runs every day as it should. We only try to clean the printhead when it stops working as last ditch attempt at not having to spend another R12 000.00 +

Now they have a problem with us doing that and saying it damages the printhead! The printhead doesn't work BEFORE we try and salvage it with a product designed specifically for that make of printhead but the excuse is they didn't sell it to us so its not their problem.

Go Brother printers, Katana, Kathari, Epson. Anything BUT Artisjet
