Dummy didn't last a week!

On Thursday, 28 January, I purchased a pack of two nuk silicone sleeptime glow soother in pink size 2, from Reggies store in Game city Durban. On Friday I first gave the dummy to my daughter. Last Friday, she was playing and I noticed her dummy was on the floor. Picking it up to give it a rinse, imagine my shock when I see the silicone part of the dummy almost disconnected from the plastic part of the dummy, at the actual connection the dummy broke!!! i was horrified to say the least, the dummy just a week old and my daughter being on nuk dummies, bottles and teats, from birth, we have never ever encountered any such problem with any product. Furthermore I was terrified that imagine if I did not notice it and the silicone broke completely and my daughter swallowed it! Any mothers worst nightmare. I am very disappointed with the quality of this dummy and am scared to even give the other one to her . Sadly as I always purchase nuk products and have no issues with quality I did get rid of the till slip and cannot even take it back to the store, and even then dummies are non-returnable, SHocked and upset.
