No after sales service

In June 2015 we bought a bakkie from Arnold Motors. I took the papers given to me by Arnold Motors and went to register the bakkie and got new number plates.

After a year, when I went to take out the new license disk, I was told by the lady at the licensing department that the bakkie does not belong to me, but to a man in Mpumalanga. She then gave me a printout to show that the vehicle was carried over from my name to that of Wesbank on 30 June 2015 and then on 6 August it was firstly carried over to Arnold Motors, then to this man in Mpumalanga and again to Wesbank.

Never did Arnold Motors contact me at any stage to inform me of this problem/ mix-up. So for a full year I was paying insurance for another man's vehicle. Had I been in an accident my insurance would not have been paid out.

Now I had to pay R1 500 for registration of the vehicle, I have to do a roadworthy test again and get new number plates. I just feel that this was not because of a fault on my side and feel that Arnold Motors have to pay for these expenses.

They keep promising to resolve the issue, but I am always the one having to phone after them to hear what the situation is. Their only response was that they will pay for the roadworthy test. But what about the R1 500 I had to pay for registration and the cost of the new number plates?

I will stand by the fact that I will not pay for these expenses and will take the matter further if Arnold Motors does not want to assist further in this matter. It feels that they just want to make sales, but after sale service does not exist.
