Useless service. Parts witheld
i took a pistol into Arms in Pretoria to get a quotation in a repair. 5 weeks later they phoned to tell me the pistol had been fixed. I arrived and told them the request was for a quote, not a repair. This was written in the jobcard. I told them I was not going to pay since I clearly asked for a quite first. They then removed the repaired part(s). I personally took the gun apart several times before and knew exactly what was wrong. The priblem was a broken firing pin. When I asked for the other parts back I was guven a spring that never belonged in the gun from the begining. It was also claimed that other parts had been made. None of the old parts could be produced. I recognised the parts from when I took the gun apart myself, and was told that new ones had been made. I could see that they had not. All that had been repaired was the firing pin. Other parts were not returned to me.
