Disgusted in service

My husband went into a long term vehicle lease contract with option to buy at end with a company called Ariva who is associated with imperial, which was suggested from hyundai pinetown.

He went into the contract at the time as we earned below the bracket so didn't qualify for vehicle financing, the contract was R3100pm for a hyundai I10 with a maintenance plan and insurance excess of R2*** and we were advised we may not take out our own insurance at all against the car.

We were in a small accident of which the bumper was damaged when I went through insurance was told the excess was R5000 which was recently increased ‎even though we were never informed of an increase,
He advised Ariva he didn't have the full R5000 as he is going through involuntary retrenchment so he was told by the consultant via email that Ariva would pay the excess and he could make payment arrangements to pay them back but in regards to the retrenchment when he can no longer make the monthly installments he would need to return the vehicle and then pay 10% of the payments remaining on the contract as they don't have any form of insurance against death, disability or retrenchment as it is a lease not a purchase of the vehicle ,

So he took the vehicle in for repairs to a panel beater they referred us to on the Monday, when he went on the Friday to collect the car the panel beaters refused to release the vehicle as he hadn't made the ‎R5000 payment so he advised them of Ariva agreement they tried to contact them but Arive was closed until the Monday when he returned the Monday Ariva said the consultant dealing with the matter was off and the manager was on a smoke break,
Eventually the manager contacted him and said the consultant had no authority to make that arrangement and if we don't pay at least 50% of the excess they must not release the vehicle Ariva will collect the car until
We can make the payment and he must pay the 10% for the break of contract,
My husband requested his contract and then
Ariva has now contacted him saying there is a R3000 fee that he needs to pay for the vehicle to be returned to Johannesburg and sent him his contract as well as termination letter that he has to sign and make payment so he does not have to pay another month and if he doesn't pay the monies in full the contract will continue and he will continue to encure the R3100 monthly installments until we terminate the contract even though he has still been unable to receive the vehicle anyway ,

We are worried sick about how they can not take payment arrangements as we now have no income from his side until he is re employed,
