HeatTech - horrible service and bad quality product
I had to replace my HeatTech Geyser twice in four years - which on its own should tell you enough of the build quality. This most recent time I had water running in under my cupboard and under my carpet causing massive damage to my unit and the apartment below me. The warranty claim was reported by 08h30 am, with clear explanation that it is urgent as the damage is ongoing. Numerous phone calls and emails later (with the assistance of another plumber), I only hear from a HeatTech plumber at 14h11, indicating that they will now first do an inspection, lodge a report, and wait for Heattech to then clear a warranty claim. Which could take days. You also aren't allowed to do anything in the interim to mitigate your loss, as as soon as the geyser has been tampered with you void your warranty. Horrible customer service, and honestly just seems like a delaying tactic to avoid having to honour their warranties. Stay far far away.
