Terrible Argus Car Hire

Absolutely shocking service! I booked a car through Argus Car hire at 14h00 on 24/09/2019, simple procedure and they are very quick to take your deposit. Not stating at all that I am in need of a credit card when collecting my car... in order to Collect the vehicle, I have to pay a holding fee of €1500 incase of an unforeseen incident. I was quite happy with this but not informed at all that it HAD to be a credit card, I was not allowed to use my debit card to make the payment! I phoned Argus Car Hire call line to try and get my deposit refunded as I was unable to collect my hired car on the same date, and they will not release my money. All of this happening within a space of a couple hours from booking my car. Terrible, terrible service. Taking €40 from me for no reason at all!
