Zero delivery Zero help - beware of Drop Box

I bought 2 pairs of rare sneakers from a supplier who sent them to me via Drop Box (there wasn't a different option used by the seller).

After a full month of back and forth with the Track & Trace call center, I was told that my shipment was lost and declared missing. Furthermore because there's no insurance included in Drop Box service, nothing can be done and I've lost everything with zero compensation and now the case is closed.

I've communicated to the sender but there's nothing she can do either. Now the shipment was confirmed to have been picked up by Aramex and taken to the warehouse at which point they confirmed it was lost on their floor before it was even delivered. Security can't find out where it is and who is responsible.

While I understand that there's no insurance on the product, given that it was lost in their possession, I don't understand how I cannot get any sort of refund or recourse? It's clearly Aramex's fault but the response is equivalent to 'Oops my bad. Have a good day, Bye'. This isn't acceptable!

Lesson: ask your supplier to use an insured option rather than Drop Box or just don't use Aramex at all.
