WARNING: ARAMEX CHARGING FOR SERVICES I DIDN'T AUTHORISE.

I recently purchased cosmetics abroad to the value of R1112. Imagine my surprise when Aramex sent me a bill for R877!

I didn't even know Aramex were delivering my order. I know that Sars typically charge fees around 50% the cost of cosmetic goods purchased and I'm willing to pay the customs duties + vat charges due to me.

However, I WAS NOT EXPECTING ARAMEX TO CHARGE ME FOR THEIR SERVICES WHICH I NEVER ENGAGED!! THIS IS HIGHLY IMMORAL AND COMPLETELY *********. WHY SHOULD I PAY FOR A SERVICE I NEVER AUTHORIZED?? HOW IS THIS LEGAL?

Clearance 260.00 Duties 329.57 Disbur*****t 15.22 Customs VAT234.00 VAT 39.00 Shipment Total Amount: 877.79

Only Duties and Customs VAT are SARS fees. Clearance, Disbur*****t and Vat are all Aramex's fees. (Totalling R314.39)

Now I can't receive my order, until I pay the total due by Aramex.

"Should you not pay the invoice in full you shipment will not be submitted to customs for a release. These are standard charges for processing your clearance."

I DIDNT ASK ARAMEX TO CLEAR THE GOODS! I DIDN'T ASK, SIGN OR AGREE TO ANYTHING WITH ARAMEX SO WHY AM I BEING CHARGED??
