Very poor service using Global Shopper

I have been using Aramex's Global Shopper (previously Shop & Ship) for about 3 years, and the service has just gotten worse and worse - slow feedback, late delivery, late/incorrect customs clearance, damaged items.....

Last encounter was when I ordered 2 parts via eBay on 18 Dec and sent to my US Global Shopper address, delivery within the US took 3 days (21 Dec). Aramex has had my package in their account for more than a month, first forgetting to do any customs clearance, and now doing it wrong. I have had to get the tariff codes from the SARS website and give it to them item by item - how can an international frieght company be so inept, not knowing how to do customs clearance and then just "forgetting" to clear an item for a customer.

I am honestly appalled by the service and that I am expected to pay what is an inconvenience in my life rather than a service.

I would not recommend anybody to sign up or use the Aramex Global Shopper service, and I can only hope they correct the customs clearance issue and eventually deliver my package.

Dear Leon
Thank you for bringing the matter to our attention.
We apologize for the delay in delivery and understand how frustrating this encounter might have been for you. However, because of the peak season, a large number of shipments were held up by Customs which created a delay in delivery on our side.
Our system indicates that the shipment was held up from the 29th of December 2016 because a commercial invoice was required to commence with the clearing of the shipment and this was only provided to us on the 13th of January 2017.
Upon receipt of the invoice, the clearing of the parcel commenced and it was released on the 15th of January, where custom charges were also added to the system.
The customs charges are viewable on your AGS account, where you can make payment and the shipment will be dispatched for delivery.
If you need further assistance please do not hesitate to contact us again.
Kind Regards,

OK, so update time.
The above response is a BLATANT LIE- get your facts straight ARAMEX!!!!
I have all of the below on email as proof.
Item was received at the Aramex office on 21 Dec 2016
I supp**** commercial invoice on 23 Dec 2016 via email
Aramex did NOTHING, not even replying to numerous follow up email queries and only attempted clearance on 13 Jan 2017.
Clearance was completed on 15 Jan 2017, but done incorrectly.
On 15 Jan I started enquiring about clearance costs and why it was done wrong, after numerous ignored emails it was eventually corrected by 25 Jan 2017 - after my review posted on HelloPeter and being contacted by Ben from Aramex on 24 Jan 2017.
On 25 Jan I requested the website to be updated so that I can pay for my package, once again a request that has fallen on deaf ears - no response up to today and no update on their website.
So more than a month has gone by, and still no package........pathetic.

Another update:
On 26 January I emailed my request to update the duties values on the Global Shopper website to 9 individual email addresses as well as 1 corporate mailbox.
To date, not one of those 9 employees have responded or actioned any update on the website.
