Useless courier

I'm expecting an shipment from aramex, they don't send any text to say the parcel is out for delivery and when you track it on their said you will get attempted delivery while no1 called you for that delivery. Am I supposed to stay home from when my parcel is shipped since I dont get notified about it the delivery?
