Terrible service

It's my husband's birthday tomorrow and I waited the whole day for my package, which is his birthday gift, only for it not to be delivered. And this is because the driver couldn't get ahold of me and didn't ring my unit number. Desperate, I even said I'll drive to the office/depot to pick up my package, to find out it's not allowed and now I have to wait until Monday to get my package. This service is unreliable and unacceptable. I live in a complex so it's not difficult to call the unit number which is on the package. All other delivery services allow for pickup. To not allow me to come out of my way to pick up my own package is just plain down pathetic service.
