Sandisiwe "Sandi" Shembe - A rose among the thorns

Let me clarify at the outset that this 5-star review is for a single employee of Aramex in Joburg - Sandisiwe Shembe. I repeat - it is NOT for Aramex SA, a disaster of a company from which you are guaranteed an endless stream of frustration. My parcels from Amazon were with Aramex since 8 December, having been bought in November. I was hoping to receive them by Christmas - they were gifts. Numerous calls to the company were met with the generic excuse - it's a customs delay. Please wait...and wait...and wait. I received an understanding ear from Sandisiwe after waiting for a month for my goods. Not only did she sort it out immediately, but she also called to give me feedback on the status of the parcels! Feedback...imagine that! So the parcels which were delayed for a month due to a "customs backlog", were miraculously processed within an hour of my call. Oh, and did I mention that she arranged priority local shipping to Durban?

Sandi, you truly are a star and I wish Aramex had more people like you to represent the company instead of the minions who find perverse satisfaction in fobbing off their frustrated clientele. Give this lady a promotion! Thank you once again for your help!
