REFUND FOR PARCEL IN BURNT OUT VAN
I very regularly make use of Aramax and sent a parcel off on 27 August to East London (DBP ***) to the value of R485. The next morning I got a call from the Port Elizabeth office to say the van burnt out completely en-route. I had to make a replacement article and sent it off once again (DBP***) which I posted on the 29th August. I drove to their offices at the airport and met with Adel Bruwer who told me to e-mail her my bank statement indicating the value of the parcel, my invoice, and scan in the two Aramax waybills, which I did on the 30th. She said Aramax does have an insurance policy, and will look at refunding customers, even though you cannot insure a parcel with them. A subsequent phone call to Adel, resulted in her telling me that she forwarded all the relevant documents to them, and is waiting for their response. Since then I haven't heard a word..........
