Rather drive the shipment yourself - will cost you less in the end

We have sent international shipments with this company to Tanzania from South Africa, and BOTH arrived in a state of disrepair. In fact, it looked as if they had used the boxes as a soccer ball mid air in a thunder storm kicking it from plane to plane. Boxes marked fragile were broken, battered and wet through with all the paper items inside destroyed. They refuse to cover the cost of the shipment or the items saying we had not selected insurance - insurance? insurance on free brochures to give away? The basic terms and conditions of service and customer laws within South Africa were not upheld with responsibility being acknowledged on email but not rectified. Not to mention they delivered it to the wrong airport.

Send & Receive or DHL are far superior alternatives with better customer service and care taken over the delivery and handling of items. I would rather drive items myself across the continent than ever send with Aramex again. The damages incurred and loss of months of time fighting this out has cost so much that it would have been cheaper to rent a car from Cape Town and drive to Tanzania myself with the shipment.
